About John West
John is recognised in the UK and overseas as a leading entrepreneur in the health & fitness industry. Since establishing the ground breaking St Albans Health & Racquet Club in 1991/2 he has been responsible for the finance, development and operation of a number of high profile clubs including the 60,000 sq.ft Brooklands Healthtrack Club in Weybridge.
A founder of The Racquet & Healthtrack Group, later sold to David Lloyd Plc, and the Sportz Academy Club in Hertfordshire, he has also worked with, Daley Thompson OBE, the Royal Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Marylebone Warwick Balfour Plc.
Areas of experience include: Assisting re-alignment of existing business, MBO/MBI and establishing new business. John often acts as a non-executive director attending monthly management/board meetings.
John is the founder and a shareholder of the Odyssey Group Holdings Ltd.
